Greetings Caid,

The time has come to say goodbye. Thank you so much for allowing us to be your King and Queen for the last 5 months. During that time we traveled across the length and breadth of this Kingdom, as well as other Kingdoms, and met and interacted with as many Caidans as we could. Your enthusiasm and love, as well as your helpfulness and generosity, made the task a real pleasure. It was truly an honor to be allowed to serve you.

We greatly loved our time on the throne, but now it is time to step aside and let Edric and Faizeh take over. We have no doubt that you will be as kind and loving to them as you were to us.

There are so many people to thank that we can't begin to mention them all: All the Kingdom Officers, Barons and Baronesses and all of their officers who actually run this Kingdom of Ours, Our Court, Her Majesties Guard, and all the autocrats and other helpers at the events that We attended that made it look like we actually knew what we were doing. Special thanks to all the local chroniclers and heralds, whose hard labors make our groups work smoothly. Most importantly, thank you to the Populace of Caid, you are incredible.

Greetings Caid,

The sad news has gone out, Great Western War has been canceled this year. Sir Gavin and Baronesse Cara Michelle contacted 53 sites and visited over 33 sites personally, in an effort to find a new site this year, but were unable to find one that met our requirements. They have already begun work on aquiring a site for next year. GWW will live on. We commend them for their hard work.

On a lighter note, Pennsic War was incredible this year and we were very happy to have so many Caidans there to enjoy it with Us. The battles were phenomenal, the shopping fantastic, and the A&S classes and displays were to die for. Start planning now for Pennsic next year, which will be a week earlier in the calendar to accommodate students and teachers. Special thanks go out to Our Land Agent, Lady Roisin, and Our Pennsic Largess Coordinator, Mistress Thea, for making our lives run so smoothly at War.

We may say this over and over, but thank you Caid for being the best Kingdom in the Known World!

Greetings Caid,

Time flies when you are having fun and it is already time for us to have Heirs (or as HRM Sven likes to call them "Svittens"). We wish to remind all potential participants that we have re-instated the requirements to fight in Crown, and a letter of intent is required if you wish to compete. All of the details are listed in the August Crown Prints and on the Caid Royals web site. Crown is a glorious tournament to be a part of, and if you have never experienced the joy of the day, We encourage you to enter the tournament as a fighter or a consort.

As parenthood approaches, it is time for Us to become old and crotchety, so We have decided to have some Royal Whims.

These are Our Royal Whims to last for the duration of Our Reign.

Sloths are a protected species in Caid and only Tigers may be allowed to hunt them.

For Our viewing pleasure, We would prefer the fighting field to be divided such that We can watch both Armored Combat and Rapier from the Royal pavilion.

The Sons of the Lorelei war band shall be known as the Sons of the "Thor"elei.

Cheese Pizza is a holy meal and those groups who provide it to His Royal Majesty Sven at their local events shall be blessed.

The Knights of the Privy (you know who you are!) shall always bear an item that emits a sweet and fresh aromatic scent.

In early September Caid is hosting the Known World Academy of the Rapier and we hope all of Caid turns out to support this Society level event in Our Backyard. Come join Us while we fence, learn and dance.

We can never say this enough, but thank you Caid for being such a loving, wonderful and supportive Kingdom. You are truly special and We have enjoyed every minute of Our time with you.

Greetings Caid,

WAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!! Good God, what is it good for? Absolutely… Oh wait, it’s good for everything! From shopping to A&S classes to fighting and all the other stuff in between. This August We will be attending the largest war in the Known World, Pennsic. We invite all Caidans who are attending Pennsic to camp with us. Please visit our Royal Web Site for more information. It’s not too late to decide to come out, and if you have never been to Pennsic, you have no idea how absolutely fantastic an experience this is. We will be allying our forces with the Midrealm and look forward to many happy days of camaraderie and merriment.

Closer to home we are coming up on Festival of the Rose. Her Majesty is looking forward to this day with joy and hopes all the artisans of the Kingdom come out and enjoy Her special day.

We are also making changes to Kingdom Law in regards to entry for Crown tournament. The law change is posted in this month’s Crown Prints, and all potential entrants are encouraged to take a look at it before September Crown.

Greetings Caid,

Thank you so much for the support and enthusiasm you showed us at Our Coronation and for the reception that We received at Queen's Champion tournament. We would like to thank everyone who attended, especially all the fighters who competed in the lists for the honor of becoming a Champion for Her Majesty. We would also like to extend our gratitude to the Barony of Lyondemere for putting on such wonderful events for Us.

During our reign, We are going to be traveling throughout Caid and the known world, visiting old friends and making new ones. We are especially looking forward to Queen’s Champion Equestrian and Darkwell War in late July. Come play with Us.

Greetings Caid,

Thank you for the enthusiasm and support you showed Us at Crown Tournament. We plan to travel a great deal during Our reign and hope to visit all of Caid, including Western Seas. We also will be journeying to Lilies War and Pennsic War to showcase the glory of Caid to the rest of the Known World.

Our court will be based during the Viking Era, with particular focus on our personas in 9th Century Denmark. We encourage those who have not yet experienced the dark side of early period clothing to do so in the upcoming months (insert evil laugh here!).

We are looking forward to a reign of joy and happiness and hope that you will experience that with us. We hope that you attend Coronation and Queens Champion’s, for where you will certainly have as much fun as Us.
